Vulnerable children in townships face a myriad of challenges, which HopeAfrica seeks to address. A holistic development model was developed to ensure that the organisation has a maximum impact while providing for the needs of township children.

 

Rather than focusing on any one need in a child’s life, Hope Africa looks at the bigger picture by addressing a child’s social, economic and environmental circumstances. This is done through investing in education, social services and the health of children in South African townships.

 

Our Holistic Development Model looks at the core areas of a child’s life; Early Childhood Development, Child and Youth Development, Nutrition and Food Security. Through this model we aim to nurture, educate and support children, youth and families to develop a new generation of productive citizens.
